When we released Kalium 2 we have included this typography editor which is a really advanced form of managing fonts throughout your website, and gives you whole control over fonts.
The reason why you are seeing it everywhere is that when a font is set to the body of that page, it will be the default font unless you overwrite it with any other selector, what I've done now is that I removed the body and left just the P.

Are you sure you have changed the font weight of Open Sans font, since in the font settings I didn't see the lighter font variant as included:

You will have to tick which of the font variants you want to use, then in the selectors you can select the font-weight for that element.
