I would like to have a maximum of x post of blogue showing when you load the blog page, display chronologically, and the older one on other pages or display after pressing a show more button.
The posts order by default is oldest one are the latest loaded the newest one are the first (according to the date they are created). Is depend what you have choose to show the items, but there is another way please read the article we wrote about Ordering Post Types.
Thank you. My main issue is having only the 5 or 8 or 10 newest post shown on the page and the older one hiden unless you press a show more button... wich would load the next 5, 8 or 10 . The pluggin in the article did not provide a solution to my answer, unless i did not see it
Sure there is global setting for it, please consider reading the article we wrote about Settings, Menus & Permalinks, in this article you will have Settings > Reading you can find Blog pages show at most && Syndication feeds show the most recent, se theme to what you need.
I can sure set the number of post display but the other post display automatically when i scroll down. There is not an option to have or have not the older post load (i.e. a load more button).
Is it still the correct css element: [.show-more .button] I have seen [.show-more.is ] elsewhere but none seems to work I have tried to look in the rtl.css file but could not find it.
Please go to Custom CSS Section there might be any Custom Style, also check if Skin Builder is active so you could build your theme style, as file you can check on main.css file to edit the code directly of button. if you still have issues please consider sharing with us you sites WP Credentials, so i could investigate the issue from close view.
