Ok. I seem to have found the solution: I deleted the js_composer folder via ftp. Then I could reload the plugin. Works fine now.
The problem is, that I have had this before with the revolution slider plugin after an update. So the whole update process seems quite critical to me ...
I just updated to Kalium 2.1.5 and then tried to do the update of the included plugins like Visual Composer.
But there went something wrong with this update! Now Visual Composer is completely gone. Where can I download and install it again?

Glad to hear that you solved the issue. That is the exact thing that you shoud do when you face any problem like this.
This happen on some circumstances when the server is slow or anything fails in the middle of process.
