    The forgot password function is not working properly. The messsage appears but no e-mail is sent by the site. 

    There are clients that can´t access the site due to this problem.

    Hi Savio,

    This has to be a SMTP or mail issue which is not handled by our theme. Even if you switch the theme you'll encounter this issue

    Usually the problem is with your mail server (SMTP) which is not sending e-mails, this can be fixed by using WP Mail SMTP plugin in your WordPress, it will configure your mail server and should make it work.

    Hello Arlind,

    He was really having problem with the SMTP configuration. He is already using WP Mail SMTP. However the forgot password function is still not working.

    After test a configuration with my email acoount the contact form worked very well. It´s not working with his email. But when I try to use the forgot password it seems the site worked. But I didn´t receive the e-mail. I tried with different users.


    What should I do?

    Hi Savio,

    Can you please share your FTP credentials here, because I need to login to your site and test this issue. Your information is safe here (private) in this thread.

    To include your credentials click Insert Credentials button in editor toolbar. (See how)

    Hi Savio,

    I am not sure what exactly is going wrong there, however the problem is not related to our theme. It is totally related to server because nobody before was experiencing this issue, so I have even recorded a video to demonstrate that the emails are being processed however I don't know  why it doesn't deliver:

    I suggest you to contact your hosting provider about this. The core wp_mail function is not delivering emails and WordPress has tested this function it works on 99.9% of hosts I guess.

    Hello Arlind,

    My client uses an e-mail account from Outllok. Do you think it can cause the issue? I talked to support from Go daddy (where the e-mail is based) and they informed the Outlook uses a exchange protocol and it doesn´t fit with the local soluton.

    After talking with the hosting provider they informed the site is ok and recommended to access the e-mail hosting service provider. 

    I changed the e-mail configuration and used an e-mail account of mine as a sample, just to do a test. After do all the setup I did a test recommended by WP Mail Setup plugin. It worked properly. However when I try to use the forgot password instuction on the front end it doesn´t work. 

    What do you suggest?

    Hi Savio,

    Does the contact form our Aurum theme delivers email?

    If so, then the problem should be pointed to WooCommerce forum and let them know about it, and they can help you. Here is the WC mailer function being executed WC()->mailer();sending emails but not delivering to your mail:

    I suggest you to try this on another host and if that works, then the problem is definitely related to your current hosting provider.

    Hi Arlind,

    After change the e-mail to a gmail account the contact form worked but the reset password notification doesn´t work yet. The information that I received from Godaddy (where the current e-mail used by the client is hosted) is that Outlook uses exchange which is not compatible with SMTP mail. So, I did a test with gmail and it solved the issue related to the contact form but didn´t solve the password notification.

    I have others sites with Woocommerce and this function is ok. The only one that I´m having problem is this which uses Aurum theme.

    What do you suggest? My client is crazy with this issue and I don´t konw what can be done to solve it.

    Hi Savio,

    It is really confusing, I do understand your position on this point and just like you are now, I have multiple cases that I have this kind of responsibility, so I am really trying to help you to get out of this issue.

    One possible way to test if the problem is related to the theme is by switching to Twenty Seventeen (sixteen or fifteen) theme and try if the reset password email is being delivered. If even in that case doesn't work that is definitely a problem with hosting.

    I cannot replicate this issue, because when I test it the email delivers, see here:

    As you can see it is delivered in the email and I am using Aurum theme too. You can show the following video to your support where you are handling this issue with emails.
