In all my entries I have an image gallery at the end of the article. The problem is when I open some image clicking above, the image opens in large size correctly, but simultaneously opens the same image behind, in a very strange way, because it shows the thumbnails. You really have to try to see what is produced.
To close the image, you must return to close also the second image and after return no close a third image.
While checking your site I was really surprised as I couldn't find where the issue was coming from, and after checking it I saw that the link you provided is a POST and for more it's set as a VIDEO POST, and you're using Visual Composer there.
Visual Composer is only supported for pages and portfolio items that have pre-selected the VC portfolio type, but it's not integrated with posts and we don't plan on integrating it with default WordPress posts. So even though it's not supported I tried many times checking what can be done to fix your issue but without success.
I discovered the pretty photo in "On click action" in gallery causes this double-open images, meanwhile "Link to large image" opens good the only image, but the only problem is that it opens behind the following thumbnails images in images gallery ... I think this should not be a big problem ...Can you configure something in php? I do not think z-index is for this... do you know how I could do it?
I know that since I have tested it on my own, as I said you're using the Visual Composer in a blog post which is not supported and recommended, and besides that I tried fixing this but I can't find a fix for it.
Yes, thank you, I understood about VC in posts (is terrible, because the post is the most used element, and is the logical choice when dealing with articles, not a "portfolio", I think this should be a great ALERT for VC users, because I never read that restriction anywhere), and for this I was searching some solution for to don't have to do it all again. The solution would be to configurate the gallery with "Link to large image" and no with "openPrettyPhoto" inasmuch as the "Link to large image" have the only problem in to open the image behind the thumbnails photos. Do you think this behavior is for the restriction for to work in posts? Do you say Visual Composer never have to work posts?
Regarding the post or portfolio, Visual Composer works only for pages and when you install the theme with Visual Composer, by default VC is enabled only for pages and you can see it here:
As you can see Note: By default WPBakery Page Builder is available for pages only. where I have highlighted with red, we have enabled it for portfolio only for a single type not for all of them which means it doesn't work for portfolio items either.
Visual Composer is a page builder, and posts and portfolio items have their own style and layout while a WordPress page is blank by default.
Purchasing Visual Composer will not change anything, since the version we include in the theme is full and there is no need for purchasing it because it doesn't fix anything.
I've checked your problem but sincerely I don't know what is causing this since we have never had an issue like this with the photo grid element, as it works normally even when the popup shows (talking about VC in pages).
I wrote to WPBakery (Visual Composer) where they tell me the theme author has enabled the Visual Composer only for the pages, maybe where the theme at the end is using it’s own editor or some code for this, because VC is the same for pages and posts.
You have already told me that you can not do anything and has tried to hold a Visual Composer responsible when you say by default VC is enabled only for pages, but this is possible to change and is not definitive. The user can change Pages or Custom, where you can select Posts or Portfolio without lose data.
I tested changing the theme to twenty-six, and the Image Gallery with "Open prettyPhoto" has been perfectly shown. This means that it is a particularity of the Kalium and not of Visual Composer.
I am very frustrated because this means hours of work lost.
In addition you have to WARNING that that KALIUM is NOT ENABLED to work in good way with posts.
The template does not respond to what I want, it is not natural to have pages for what I need, just to make the image gallery work well. This is a template error and now I have to work a lot more.
Also I create problems because I can not order articles by posts. I wish I could change this template.
I have managed to fix this. The problem is not related to the theme, the plugins conflicted because we use different lightbox on blog post page, rather than standard page. The conflict happens because we haven't predicted that Visual Composer element Gallery was going to be used on blog post. Blog posts have their own image galleries however if you want to work in this way its up to you.
Here is what I have done:
1. Added this code in functions.php
// Disable fluid box in blog page add_filter( 'kalium_enable_fluidbox', '__return_false' );
2. Re-added Image Gallery element on that blog post:
Really can to show the image gallery in posts is important, specially when you publish news related to social activities, for examples.
Well, your notice was a bit too late for me, because I installed a plugin (Photo Gallery by WD) for to do the job. Maybe in the future I will adjust the gallery to Bakery for to don't have too many plugins. Thanks for to resolve it.

It seems like two galleries open the same time.

Maybe another solution is to buy Visual Composer because I have the template version. In this link https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VC/pages/524324/I+can+not+use+Visual+Composer+on+Posts+and+Custom+Posts explain how to use VC in posts. Is this possible?
Thank for your help!

Hi gcordero,
