I have a question about optimal size in pixels and weight when you have about 70 pictures on the Kalium/i'm remy theme.
I would like the gallery to be on full pages and good quality even on retina and 4k screens, so how many pixels would you recommend (3000px large? 2500 px?)
For the weight, my pictures are about 1Mo, do you think it's too much if i have 70 pictures to show on the website? I mean do you think it will be slow to visit for people who have a slow connection or on mobile phone? What weight would you recommend for my case?
And third question, it is possible to have a thumbnail different in dimensions (for example cropped in portray) from its picture in full screen (which would be for example not cropped and in landscape)? The idea is to have a large variety of sizes when you see the portfolio in thumbnails mode with the masonry effect, and original sizes of the pictures (for me often in lanscape) when you watch it in full screen. It is possible?
1) You don't have to 70 at time, you can use endless pagination, at beginning you can show 4 items then load by 2 when clients reaches the bottom of page. so you will have less problem on loading page.

Hi vincentvincentvincent,
1) You don't have to 70 at time, you can use endless pagination, at beginning you can show 4 items then load by 2 when clients reaches the bottom of page. so you will have less problem on loading page.
How to setup endless pagination on Portfolio Page
a) Learn How to create Portfolio Page ( this one is just in case you have missed it )
b) Read the article Portfolio Page Options, in this article you will find section: Pagination.
c) Portfolio Item : Creating a Lightbox portfolio item
2) You can also read the article How to speed my website.
3) Can you confirm that you are looking something like this: https://demo.kaliumtheme.com/main/masonry-portfolio/. Expect you wanted to be open in Lightbox Popup to view full image ( original size )
Thank you.
