Just started building with Kalium (using standard demo as base) running into these questions:
- The homepage shows a revolution slider and portfolio archive. I'd like to view my blog on the homepage, but keep the revolution slider on the top.
Tried several things, but can't make it happen, how do I fix this?
In addition to the above, since I do like the lay-out of the portfolio page. So how can I:
- Create a masonry blog with heading and category on top of the tumbnail and visible when hovering over? So basically look and feel of the portfolio page, but then acting as a blog page.
The only way to have Revolution Slider and the blog posts in a page is to create new default page, add the Revolution Slider and posts through Visual Composer, as having the Revolution Slider in the blog page is not possible.
Thanks for the input! Since I still prefer the portfolio lay out from kalium over the blog page, I was wondering if there is any custom css that allows me to add the Author / Date /Categorie from Posts onto a porfolio item.

Hi JannekeVisser,
The only way to have Revolution Slider and the blog posts in a page is to create new default page, add the Revolution Slider and posts through Visual Composer, as having the Revolution Slider in the blog page is not possible.

Hi Art,
Thanks for the reply, it solved the question!
Now, some other questions arrived.
Like on the portfolio page:
- how can I show the heading and category ON TOP of the post thumbnail?
- how can I change the padding between the columns on the blog page?
- how can I show all the categories on the posts page?
- how can i show the like button (heart) instead of the post category icon?
Is there any custom css for the above?
Hi there.
1. It's not possible to show the category above the post thumbnail, even through CSS.
2. Using the CSS below:
3. Couldn't understand where you want to show all the categories? If you're talking about these:
Then they will automatically show if they have portfolio items assigned to them.
4. The like feature is implemented only for portfolio, it won't work for other post types.

Hi JannekeVisser,
Unfortunately that's not possible, since the portfolio type is quite different from the normal blog post and it does not have many of it's data.
