- I'm using a plugin called WooCommerce Ajax Add To Cart (oraksoft) to Ajaxify the Add To Cart links on single product pages. It works great the problem is, whenever I try to remove the products from the cart the mini-cart doesn't get updated. It continues to show the products. Sometimes even when I add products the mini-cart, it isn't properly updated but that happens rarely. I was thinking it might be a cache issue, but I'm not sure.
If there is a way to have Ajax Add to Cart buttons in your theme without this plugin, I'll implement it if you tell me how.
I disabled the plugin and tested again, and it seems the mini-cart is still not updating properly. I have linked a screenshot below so you can look at it
- Is there a way to have Ajax searching on the main search bar? Like I type something and the results come up without refreshing the page. I'm using the SearchWP Live Ajax plugin but I can't exactly use that in the navbar. So I was wondering if there is a way to Ajaxify the default search form
- Last thing is I copied the wc-mini-cart.php page in my child theme to edit it but the changes aren't taking place at all. I have edited other templates successfully but this doesn't work at all. I'm trying to remove the pricing for all users except admin on my website but the changes aren't working. Can you tell me which template to edit?
1) Our theme has already included ajax method add to card, the process when you click on add to card it has to show at top menu in box there is a product added to card.
If you have further trouble with ajax reload please let us know and consider sharing WP Credentials, so we could see from close view.
To include your credentials click Insert Credentials button in editor toolbar. (See how)
Your information will be safe because your reply will be marked as private automatically.
2) There is no need to touch files inside directory of themes/kalium/woocommerce/, there is a file that hooks functions of woocommerce location: themes/kalium/inc/laborator_woocommerce.php
Unfortunately, I'm developing the website locally so its not possible to give you the link. I think you misunderstood my question a bit. I have copied the wc-mini-cart.php file in /kalium-child/tpls/wc-mini-cart.php and I was editing it but the changes don't take place properly. I have attached a screenshot below, I edited the product-subtotal so users other than admin cannot see the prices. Now, when I try to do the same to others, they don't work at all. Nothing happens. I want to edit the file so I can remove prices for every user except admin.
It is weird why this template file is not being overridden. In theme files, the code to call this template uses proper syntax that supports child theme template hierarchy as well:
If would help me a lot if you could attach the plugin files here (make private reply to prevent public access of plugin files because it is premium one) so I can give you a proper fix on cart item refresh after adding them via AJAX.
As for live-search, currently that feature is not implemented in our theme, but we have plans to add that in future releases but don't have any ETA about this.
I meant you to send me the files of plugin Ajax Add To Cart (oraksoft) latest version. This way I can be able to test the plugin and add the support for mini-cart refresh.
Does this plugin adds a product to cart without refreshing the page when you use another theme?
Sorry for my late reply, I was on vacation. For now the client has put on hold the Ajax Add To Cart function, I might ask about it in the future but for now I don't need it. I have a bit of a noobish question, I've created a page and added products that are on sale. I want to add a sidebar widget to it, problem is how do I add the sidebar to that page so I can add widgets to it using the widgets menu?

Hi wwfoods1
1) Our theme has already included ajax method add to card, the process when you click on add to card it has to show at top menu in box there is a product added to card.
You will find also information on article we wrote about how to Enable the Card Icon
If you have installed any other third party plugins which is not part of Kalium package, please deactivate to test, sometimes they cause conflict.
Screen from themforest.net.

Hi wwfoods1
I will assign you to dev team for further answer but as i know some files doesn't have effect on child theme.
Please be patient until they answer.
Thank you.

Hi wwfoods1,
Sure no problem.
As for widgets, you can create a new page with Visual Composer and add a row with 2 columns (content/products and widgets):

Then choose a section of widgets to show widgets from:

If you want extra widget sections you can install Custom Sidebars plugin to create, then they will show in the this list.
