is there an easy way to hide 2 (first and last) of the 4 footer widgets on mobile device, so that on mobile device are just 2 columns? Couldn't find an option.

That's possible, to do this go to Custom CSS > Responsive and paste the following code in Extra Small (XSS) field:
.footer--widgets .widget:first-child, .footer--widgets .widget:last-child { display: none !important }Best regards,
