Have you changed the layout of this item type from one to another? So where you using another layout before you where using "Zig Zag" for this portfolio item?
Also is this gap showing on this portfolio item only?
It's very strange why that padding is happening only on that portfolio page to you but i think that i found a solution to hide that space. I just added a CSS code on your Parameters and Options > Custom CSS area of that page only. Video: http://drops.laborator.co/MlH4eh

No - I haven't change the item type. I has been like this the hole time.
It's like this on the demo version also...

Well i don't see the same problem on our demo page (https://demo.kaliumtheme.com/main/portfolio/cloud-inc/) and the title has a small padding there as you can see:
