After setting "header_position" as translatable custom field, the problem was fixed, so here is what I did:
go to WPML -> Translation Management > Multilingual Content Setup:
http://cellworx.ca/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpml-translation-management%2Fmenu%2Fmain.php&sm=mcsetup
Then on custom fields translation:
(view large version)
Set these custom fields as translatable:
(view large version)
And clicked save on the end that table.
Now, you have to edit this setting for each page (french) version if its not applied, then it will work for you.
