    Hi,

I am in the process of setting up a Woocoomerce / Wordpress site with the Aurum theme.

The site uses variations for color and size variations on the product. The site currently lets you display additional product image thumbnails to the left of the main product image when you are on the purchase screen.

I want to be able to display different thumbs on the left for each color variation. I have installed the Woocoomerce plugin that allows me to add several images to each variation, but when I choose a color, the variation images are not displayed as thumbs to the left of the main image, instead the main product image becomes a slide show of the various variation images.

What I would like to be able to do is add say 3 images for each color variation and when the user selects a color have the main image displayed with the additional variation images as thumbnails on the left.

Do you know how I could achieve this ?

    Hi John,

So you want to do something like on our variable product on live demo. Video: http://drops.laborator.co/RnW

More info about how you can achieve this you can find on the Woocoomerce documentation Variable Product, specially this part Add an image for the variation.

    Hi Ylli,

    Thanks for the reply.

The link below isn't exactly what I'm trying to do. I have installed a Woocoomerce plugin that allows me to associate additional images to each variation.

So the color variations have 1 main image and two additional images.

Referencing the demo in your reply, what I would like to happen is then when the user selects the red beanie, then the hero image changes to the main variation image, and the thumbs to the left of the hero change to show the additional images associated with that variation.

    Regards,

    John

    Hi John,

I know what you are trying to say but that is not possible on the WooCommerce plugin for the moment. Maybe you can write directly on the WooCommerce forum or support and see if they know any other alternative on this.

    Thanks Ylli,

I suspect I will need to modify the template code to look for the thumbs wherever the WooCoomerce plugin stores them. If you could give me some direction as to what files I need to look at or any information that may be relevant it would be much appreciated.

    Regards,

    John

    Hi John,

We are really sorry but we don't know how to change those files because those are core theme files of the WooCommerce.

    Hope for your understanding!
