After debugging this issue I saw that this problem is related to OpenSSL installed on your server, here is the error generated from PHP cURL extension:

Which requires OpenSSL 1.0 or higher that supports SNI.

There are only few users encountering this issue and after updating OpenSSL library it was fixed.

To fix this issue, please replace these three files (before we release the new update):

1. Download this file and replace it in this directory (of the theme): /inc

2. Download this file and replace it in this directory (of the theme): /inc/classes/core

3. Download this file and replace it in this directory (of the theme): /inc/lib/laborator/typolab/inc/classes

Then please try to activate the theme. It should work because we tested this to another client who had the same issue.
